El 3 de Setiembre de 2004, el Consejo de Direcciones del ASO puso a
consideración del Directorio de ICANN para su aprobación, la Política
Global de Direccionamiento ASO-001-2. Dicha política describe el
procedimiento mediante el cual la IANA hará asignaciones de bloques IPv4
a los Registros Regionales de Internet (RIRs).<br>

ASO-001-2 ha sido aprobada de acuerdo al proceso de desarrollo de
políticas de los cuatro RIRs. Como resultado de este esfuerzo conjunto la
política fue ratificada y puesta a consideración del Consejo de
Direcciones del ASO por el NRO (Number Resource Organization).<br>

On 3 September, 2004, the Address Council submitted the Global Addressing
Policy ASO-001-2 for the approval of the ICANN Board of Directors. The
policy describes the procedure by which IANA will make IPv4 allocations
to the Regional Internet Registries (RIRs).<br>
<br>
ASO-001-2 has been approved in accordance with the four RIR's local
policy development process. As a result of that effort the policy was
endorsed and submitted by the Number Resource Organization to the ASO
Address Council.<br>
