El Secretario General de Naciones Unidas Kofi Annan nombró a Raúl
Echeberría, Director Ejecutivo-CEO de LACNIC y Adiel Akplogan, CEO
de AfriNIC para integrar el Grupo Asesor de 46 miembros que le
asistirá en la convocatoria del Foro de Gobernanza de Internet (FGI). El
Grupo está integrado por representantes de gobiernos, sector privado y
sociedad civil y estará encargado de preparar la agenda y el programa
para la primera reunión del Foro de Gobernanza de Internet (FGI) que
tendrá lugar en Atenas, del 30 de octubre al 2 de noviembre de 2006.<br>

La elección de 2 miembros del Consejo Ejecutivo del NRO (Number Resource
Organization) representa la importante contribución del NRO en la
Comunidad de Internet y es también un reflejo del rol integral que
desarrollan los Registros Regionales de Internet en la operación de la

46-member Advisory Group. This Advisory Group will assist the

General in convening the Internet Governance Forum, and is comprised

representatives from governments, the private sector and civil society.

Group will prepare the agenda and programme for the first meeting of

Internet Governance Forum, which is to be held in Athens from 30 October
to<br>

The selection of two members of the Number Resource Organization
(NRO)<br>
Executive Council signifies the important contribution the NRO plays in
the<br>
Internet community and also reflects the integral role of the
Regional<br>
