de mil organizaciones de
Internet de América Latina y el Caribe brindan servicios en la
nueva plataforma
tecnológica de la red, IPv6. Así lo anunció el gerente del área
de Ingeniería
del Registro de Direcciones de Internet para América Latina y el
Caribe
(LACNIC), Arturo Servín, durante un panel de expertos en la
reunión 43 de ICANN
que se desarrolló en San José de Costa Rica del 11 al 16 de
marzo 2012.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

line-height:115%;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Servín
destacó que al
superarse los 1.000 asociados con direcciones IPv6 se alcanzó
45% de cobertura
de los asociados actuales de la región con el nuevo sistema de
direcciones de
Internet. Brasil y México lideraron ese crecimiento. “Es un gran
paso para la
comunidad toda, que muestra que se está en el camino correcto,
donde tienen un
papel destacado los Registros Nacionales NIC.br y NIC.MX”,
aseguró el
responsable del área de Ingeniería de LACNIC.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

esfuerzo de la
comunidad y de LACNIC por expandir rápidamente la nueva
