Este lunes 8 de junio se celebra el Día Mundial de IPv6 y
destacadas organizaciones de la región -LACNIC, ISOC, NIC.br, NIC
Chile, CloudFlare y CISCO- realizan una conferencia on line para
promocionar el despliegue del nuevo protocolo de Internet en
América Latina y el Caribe.<br>

La actividad comenzará a la hora 19.30 (UTC) y contará con la
participación de destacados expertos en IPv6, entre ellos Hugo
Salgado, Alejandro Acosta, Christian O ´Flaherty, Álvaro Retana,
Antonio Moreiras y Felipe Tribaldos.<br>

En la región siete de cada 10 organizaciones de LACNIC ha recibido
recursos de esta tecnología y la asignación de IPv6 sigue
creciendo a grandes pasos. En el año 2014, LACNIC realizó 1.208
asignaciones de IPv6 en su área de cobertura. Esto representa un
incremento del 73,5% en relación a 2013.<br>

<p> Esta segunda-feira 8 de junho é comemorado o Dia Mundial do
IPv6, portanto, destacadas organizações da região -LACNIC, ISOC,
NIC.br, NIC Chile, CloudFlare e CISCO- realizam uma conferência
on-line para incentivar a implantação do novo protocolo da
Internet na América Latina e o Caribe.</p>
<p> A atividade vai começar às 19.30h (UTC) e contará com a
participação de especialistas de destaque em IPv6 como Hugo
Salgado, Alejandro Acosta, Christian O ´Flaherty, Álvaro Retana,
Antônio Moreiras e Felipe Tribaldos.<br>

Sete de cada 10 organizações da região de LACNIC receberam
recursos dessa tecnologia e a designação do IPv6 continua a
crescer a passos largos. Em 2014, LACNIC realizou 1.208
designações de IPv6 em sua área de cobertura. Isso representa um

<h2> Major Internet Organizations Promote IPv6 Deployment throughout
the Region</h2>
<p>World IPv6 Day is being celebrated this Monday, 8 June, and major
regional organizations –LACNIC, ISOC, NIC.br, NIC Chile,
CloudFlare, and y CISCO– will be holding an online conference to
promote deployment of the new Internet protocol in Latin America
and the Caribbean.<br>
The event will kick off at 19:30 (UTC) and will include the
participation of leading IPv6 experts such as Hugo Salgado,
Alejandro Acosta, Christian O´Flaherty, Álvaro Retana, Antonio
Moreiras, and Felipe Tribaldos.<br>

Seven out of ten organizations in the LACNIC service region have
already been assigned IPv6 resources, and IPv6 assignments
continue to grow by leaps and bounds. In 2014, LACNIC made 1,208
IPv6 assignments. which represents a 73.5% increase as compared to
2013.<br>
