style="font-size:14.0pt;line-height:107%" lang="ES"> in its
search to fund innovative
projects that promote Internet stability, security and openness
in the region. </span></p>

14.0pt;line-height:107%" lang="ES">Starting this year, FRIDA
will finance projects in
three categories: Internet Stability and Security, Open and Free
Internet, and
Internet Access.</span></p>

be accepted
until 22 May. Three projects will be selected as the winners of
this year's
awards and will each receive a prize of US$ 10,000 plus a full
fellowship
to attend LACNIC 34. Likewise, approximately eight projects will
receive grants
consisting of US$ 10,000 to US$ 40,000. All in all, the project
plans
to award US$ 170,000 to fund projects that will contribute to
create an
open, stable and secure Internet in Latin America and the
Caribbean.</span></p>
