Estimados Colegas 

En primer lugar quisiera darles la bienvenida a aquellos funcionarios que se han sumado recientemente a esta lista.

El motivo de este correo es informarles sobre la próxima reunión de LACIGF que tendrá lugar en la ciudad de San Salvador, El Salvador del 16 al 18 de julio.

LACIGF es la Reunión Regional de Latinoamérica y El Caribe Preparatoria para el Foro de Gobernanza de Internet. Es un evento que se realiza anualmente desde 2008 y que ha permitido disponer de un espacio de encuentro y diálogo multisectorial en el que actores de gobiernos, sector privado, comunidad técnica, academia y organizaciones de la sociedad civil presentan y discuten sus perspectivas sobre la Agenda de Gobernanza de Internet en la región.

Destacamos la relevancia de participar de la reunión del LACIGF, que ofrece una oportunidad única en la región para el diálogo franco sobre Gobernanza de Internet, abordando temas tan actuales como la transición de la supervisión de las funciones de la IANA y los resultados de Netmundial, entre otros. 

Es importante destacar que el Comité de Programa de LACIGF está conformado por dos (2) representantes de cada grupo de interés, incluyendo los Gobiernos de América Latina y el Caribe en los que cuatro (4) países comparten su espacio:

I would first like to welcome who have recently joined this list.

The reason for this email is to inform you about the upcoming LACIGF meeting to be held in San Salvador, El Salvador from 16 to 18 July.

LACIGF is the Regional Preparatory Meeting for Latin America and the Caribbean for the Internet Governance Forum. It is an event held annually since 2008 and allows a meeting space for multistakeholder political dialogue in which stakeholders from governments, private sector, technical community, academia and civil society present and discuss their perspectives on the Agenda Internet Governance in the region. 

We highlighted the importance of participating in the meeting LACIGF, offering a unique opportunity in the region to open dialogue on Internet Governance, addressing the transition as current as the supervision of the IANA functions and topics Netmundial results, among others.

Importantly, the LACIGF Program Committee consists of two (2) representatives from each stakeholder, including the Governments of Latin America and the Caribbean in four (4) countries share their space:
