de LACNIC abre su convocatoria de este año para financiar
proyectos innovadores que promuevan la estabilidad, seguridad
y apertura de la red en la región.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12pt;line-height:115%;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif" lang="ES">El llamado 2021 financiará proyectos en tres
categorías: Estabilidad y seguridad de Internet; Internet
abierta y libre; y Acceso a Internet.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12pt;line-height:115%;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif" lang="ES">El proceso de postulación estará abierto a partir
del 26 de abril en la plataforma <a href="https://programafrida.net/" target="_blank">web
de FRIDA </a><span> </span>y prevé
la entrega de tres premios (uno por categoría) y 14
subvenciones por montos de entre US$ 10 mil y US$ 40 mil para
proyectos de hasta 12 meses de ejecución.</span></p>

En la primera, los postulantes tendrán plazo para presentar un
resumen de su iniciativa. Solo los proyectos que queden
preseleccionados -se anunciarán el 2 de agosto - pasarán a la
segunda etapa donde se solicitará la presentación de una
propuesta detallada. La selección de los ganadores estará a
cargo de un experimentado jurado de profesionales de América
Latina y el Caribe: Carolina Aguerre, Amparo Arango, María Paz
Canales, Antonio Moreiras, Arturo Servin y Erika Vega. Los
resultados finales serán anunciados el 20 de septiembre.</span></p>

LACNIC's regional fund for strengthening the Internet in
Latin America and the Caribbean,</a> is inviting proposals
for funding innovative projects that promote Internet
stability, security and openness in the region.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="border:none;padding:0cm"><span style="font-size:12pt;line-height:115%;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif" lang="EN-US">The 2021 edition of the program will fund
projects in three categories: Internet Stability and Security,
Open and Free Internet and Internet Access.</span></p>

fourteen grants ranging from US$ 10,000 to US$ 40,000 for
projects to be executed in a period of up to twelve months.</span></p>

inspiring. They remind us that there is a very active
community developing ideas for improving the Internet and

the 2021 call for proposals to extend the scope of their
