EL ICANN DELEGA A COSTA RICA UN SERVIDOR RAÍZ “L”

NIC Costa Rica en cooperación con la Corporación de Internet para la 
Asignación de Nombres y Números (ICANN) instalaron en Costa Rica una 
copia del servidor raíz “L” de ICANN.

Cualquier acceso a un nombre de Internet para usar un servicio, como 
navegar en la red o utilizar el correo electrónico, debe ser consultado 
en primera instancia a la raíz de Internet (“root server”).  El contar 
ahora con un servidor raíz “L” local permite que esta consulta sea 
resuelta localmente de una forma más inmediata, eficiente y confiable 
sin necesidad de llevar a cabo esta consulta fuera del país. Haga clic

NEW INSTANCE OF ICANN L-ROOT SERVER INSTALLED IN COSTA RICA

NIC Costa Rica together with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names 
and Numbers (ICANN) installed a copy of the ICANN´s L-Root server in 
Costa Rica.

Any query to access an Internet domain name, such as surfing the web or 
using your e-mail, must first be consulted to an Internet root server. 
  A local L-Root server allows for this query to be resolved locally in 
a more immediate, efficient and safe way with no need to resolve the
