<p dir="auto">No, no hay ningún ere-requisito para participar. Sin embargo, algunos comentarios:</p>
<ul>
<li><p dir="auto">el IETF no es un evento ni de operaciones ni de capacitación, es un evento de estandarización</p></li>
<li><p dir="auto">por esto, uno tiene que tener bien claro a que uno va a al IETF, y las respuestas pueden ser varias:</p>
<ul>
<li> para participar o comenzar a participar en el proceso de definición de documentos</li>
<li>para contactar con los autores de diferentes documentos</li>
<li>“para entender como funciona”, parece loco, pero para mi fue la motivación para convencer a mi jefe en 2006 para ir a mi primer IETF (Dallas)</li>
</ul></li>
</ul>
<p dir="auto">Este ultimo análisis es personal de cada uno o de cada organización, y todas las motivaciones son válidas. Solamente hay que tener claras las expectativas y preparar el evento con antelación.</p>

Dado que no parece haber opciones a corto plazo para un nuevo IETF en LAC, y sabiendo que el IETF del próximo verano tendrá lugar en Madrid, animo a los interesados en participar que reserven sus vuelos con anticipación y grandes descuentos que hemos negociado con Iberia (hay muchos vuelos directos con Iberia y otras compañías OneWorld desde la mayoría de las capitales de LAC).<br>

Toda la información está en estos correos (ver abajo) que se acaban de enviar a la lista general del IETF.<br>

A quick clarification on this.<br>

The discount is covering also many OneWorld code-shared flights, not just Iberia operated.<br>

Furthermore, is not only for registered attendees, "friends and families" are welcome.<br>

Note also that the discount is open for flights from July 1st to September 7th, in order to facilitate a longer trip, and not just for the IETF meeting.<br>
<br>
The idea is that being the summer IETF, some folks may be interested in taking the opportunity for some tourism/vacations. Clearly this is not the IETF target, but some people could take advantage of that extended period.<br>
<br>
The web site has all the information and also a presentation in PDF, however if anything is not clear enough, feel free to drop me a private email with your question and I will try my best to help.<br>
<br>
Of course, as usual, as earlier your reserve your flights, more choices and more fares will be available.<br>
