Dear List members,
The nomination period for NAPLA moderator is now opened.
NOMINATIONS:
The candidates must be a member of the mailing list napla at  
lacnic.net and be originally from the Latin America and Caribbean  
region.
The elected candidate will be the list moderator until the NAPLA  
meeting of 2010.
Nominations can be made by any member of the lista, Auto-nominations  
are also valid.
To nominate yourself or another person please email the following  
information to the address: election_napla at lacnic.net.
- - Name of the candidate.
- - E-mail of the candidate.
- - Name of the person who submits the nomination.
- - Curriculum and additional information.

ELECTION:

The vote will be electronic through the LACNIC voting system.
Every member of the mailing list at the time of starting the vote will  
be able to do it.
Only one vote per member.
The candidate with the most votes will be the winer. In case of a tie,  
a new round of votes will be called between the most voted candidates.

ELECTION DATES:
Nomination Period:  02/05/2008 - 08/05/2008 (UNTIL 18:00 GMT)
CLOSURE of member list:  08/05/2008- at 15:00 GMT.
Candidates announced:  08/05/2008 - after nominations are closed.
Vote:  13/5/2008 - 27/5/2008 15:30hs Salvador Time, at the end of  
NAPLA Meeting.

MODERATOR Duties:
1- Moderate the mailing list.
2- Motivate discussions at the mailing list of topics related to IXPs  
and NAPLA.
3- Prepare and coordinate the NAPLA meeting agenda at the LACNIC  
Meeting and possible other meetings.
4- Moderate the Annual NAPLA Meeting.
5- Select presentations and papers.
5- Prepare an Annual Report and present it at the NAPLA Meeting.
