[LACNIC/Napla] Distrrbución de gastos - Expenses distribution

En breve debo empezar a analizar distintas alternativas para distribuir los
gastos del NAP entre sus miembros, en busca de entender si el sistema que
hoy usamos es acorde a nuestras necesidades.

Actualmente, y para acuerdo multilateral CABASE hace la distribución de
gastos basado en las siguientes variables:

- Port 10/100Mbps o 1Gbps.
- Unidades de racks utilizadas.
- Clientes trasnportados a NAP.

Sin considerar el último bullet, podemos decir que la distribución de gastos
está hecha en función de la infraestructura asignada. Hay que tomar en
cuenta que CABASE posee mas de 40 miembros de distintos tamaños (10Mbps a
600Mbos)

Quisiera conocer que otras alternativas manejan otros NAPs de la región. En
mi análisis estoy considerando:

- Distribución por infraestructura asignada (actual).
- Distribución por uso de tráfico con costo por Mbps fijo.
- Distribución por uso de tráfico con costo por Mbps variable.
- Mix de Infraestructura con tráfico.

Cualquier dato será bienvenido.


I have to make an analisys about alternative for expenses distribution among
our NAP members, with the objective of understanding if system we currently
use is addecuated to our needs.

Currently and for multilateral peering aggreement, CABASE distributes
expenses based on:

- Port 10/100Mbps or 1Gbps.
- Rack units assigned.
- Transported customers.

Without considering the last bullet, we can say distribution is based on
assigned infraestructure. It must be considered that CABASE has more tah 40
membres with different sizes (traffics from 10Mbps to 600 Mbps)

I would like to know what other alternatives are handled by other NAPs in
the region. My analysis considers distribution based on:

- Assigned infraestructure (current).
- Traffic usage with fixed Mbps cost..
- Traffic usage with variable Mbps cost.
- Mix of infraestructure and traffic.

Any comment will be welcome.
