</b>LACNIC, the emerging registry for Latin America and The Caribbean
will hold its' <br>
second Open Policy Meeting on November 28th., in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
<br>
<br>
This meeting will be held within the framework of several activities
which are of interest <br>
to Internet Access and Network providers in Latin America and the
Caribbean. <br>
<br>
LACNIC, a joint undertaking of AHCIET, ENRED, CABASE, ECOM-LAC, NIC
BRAZIL AND <br>
NIC MEXICO, is currently in a transition process tending to formal
recognition from ICANN <br>
to operate in our region. <br>
<br>
The first policy discussion meeting was held in Buenos Aires, in December
of 2000, and was <br>
well attended by ISPS and Academic Network Operators in Latin America.
After a year of intense <br>
efforts, LACNIC is covening a second public meeting. <br>
<br>
During this meeting information will be provided regarding progress made
in obtaining recognition of <br>
LACNIC, and participants can actively participate in the discussion of
policies to be implemented, as <br>
well as attend an IPV6 tutorial, and establish contact with many
colleagues from the region who will <br>
be there. <br>

On November 29-30 there will be a workshop hosted by the Network
Engineering Work Group of the <br>
Brazil Steering Committee, where network operators from all over Brazil
meet in a forum for <br>
working, discussion, and communicating proposals on technologies and
operating procedures for <br>
the Internet in Brazil. <br>
<br>
This group holds two physical meetings per year. <br>
<br>
All attendees to the LACNIC meeting are invited to participate in the
AHCIET and Brazil Steering Committee <br>
meetings. <br>
<br>
The three meetings are open and cost-free. <br>
<br>

</b>LACNIC, registro em formação para a América Latina e Caribe realizará sua “Segunda Reunião Aberta sobre Políticas” em 28 de Novembro de 2001 em São Paulo, SP, Brasil.<br>
<br>
Este encontro realizar-se-á como marco de várias atividades de interesse para provedores de Internet e Redes da América Latina e Caribe.<br>
<br>
LACNIC, empreendimento conjunto de AHCIET, ENRED, ECOMLAC, CABASE, NIC Brasil e NIC México, encontra-se em processo de transição, para a obteção do reconhecimento formal de ICANN para operar em nossa região.<br>
<br>
Em Dezembro de 2000 realizou-se em Buenos Aires, o “Primeiro Encontro Público de Discussão sobre Políticas”, com a importante participação de Provedores de Internet e Operadores de Redes Acadêmicas da América Latina. Após um ano de intenso trabalho, LACNIC convida para seu “Segundo Encontro Público”.<br>

Nesta reunião haverá informações sobre o estado do processo de reconhecimento de LACNIC, poder-se-á participar ativamente na discussão das políticas a implementar, além de assistir um tutorial sobre IPv.6 e a possibilidade de entrar em contato com muitos colegas da região.<br>

</a></font></u><font size=4>Nos dias 29 e 30 de Novembro será realizado a reunião do Grupo de Trabalho de Engenharia de Redes do Comitê Gestor Internet do Brasil (CGIBR/GT-ER), onde se reunem operadores de redes de todo o Brasil em um forum de trabalho, de discussão, de difusão e de propostas de tecnologias e procedimentos operacionais para a internet no Brasil. Este Grupo realiza duas reuniões presenciais por ano.<br>

Todos os participantes da reunião de LACNIC estão convidados a participar das atividades de AHCIET e do GT-ER do Comitê Gestor Internet do Brasil.<br>

</b>El LACNIC, registro emergente para America Latina y Caribe realizara su segundo Open Policy Meeting el 28 de noviembre del 2001 en San Pablo, Brasil.<br>

Este encuentro se realizará en el marco de varias actividades de interes para proveedores de Interner y Redes de América Latina y Caribe.<br>
<br>
El LACNIC, emprendimiento conjunto de AHCIET, ENRED, CABASE, ECOMLAC, NIC Brasil y NIC México, se encuentra en el proceso de transicion tendiente a logra el reconcimiento formal del ICANN para operar en nuestra Region.<br>
<br>
En Diciembre del 2000 se realizó en Buenos Aires el primero encuentro público de discusión de políticas con importante participación de Proveedores de Internet y Operadores de Redes Académicas de América Latina. Luego de un año de intenso trabajo, LACNIC invita a su segundo encuentro público. <br>
<br>
En esta reunión se podrá informar acerca del estado de avance del proceso de reconocimiento de LACNIC, podrá participar activamente en la discusión de las políticas a implementar, además de acceder a un tutorial de IPv6 y la posibilidad de tomar contacto con muchos colegas de la región.<br>

Los días 29 y 30 de Noviembre se desarrollará la reunión del Grupo de Trabajo de Ingeniería de Redes del Comité Gestor de Internet Brasil, donde se reunen operadores de redes de todo Brasil en un foro de trabajo, discusión, difusión y propuestas de tecnologías y procedimientos operativos para la red Internet en el Brasil.<br>

Este grupo realiza dos reuniones presenciales al año. <br>
