Did your research or innovation project contribute to the advancement of 
the Information Society in Latin America and the Caribbean?

You can compete for prize money and present your project at the Third 
Ministerial Conference on the Information Society in Latin America and 
the Caribbean to be held from November 21^st to 23^rd 2010 in Lima, Peru.


*Applications are open until 2010.10.16!*


Choose one of the *six thematic areas of eLAC2010*:
- Education
- Infrastructure and Access
- Health
- Governance
- Productive Sector
- Policy instruments

All projects coming from one of the four proposed areas of activity 
(Civil Society, Government, Academia, Private) can participate.


Vote online

The most voted projects will be sent to a committee of independent 
experts who will be responsible for assessing the different initiatives

With the FRIDA/eLAC2010 Award, the Regional Fund for Digital Innovation 
in the Latin America and Caribbean seeks to recognize the research 
initiatives and digital innovation that contributed the most towards the 
development of Information Society in Latin America and the Caribbean in 
recent years. The FRIDA/eLAC2010 Award is made possible thanks to the 
support of the Internet Address Registry for Latin America and the 
Caribbean (LACNIC), the International Development Research Centre 
(IDRC), the Internet Society (ISOC) and the Economic Commission for 
Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC).
