    APWG y LACNIC firman acuerdo para promover la campaña de
    concientización PARA. PIENSA. CONÉCTATE. en la región

/LACNIC y APWG anunciaron hoy la firma de un acuerdo de colaboración con 
el objetivo concientizar a los usuarios de Internet de América Latina y 
el Caribe en materia de ciberseguridad y autoayuda informada./

*PARA. PIENSA. CONÉCTATE.™* (https://www.stopthinkconnect.org/) es  una 
campaña de sensibilización global sobre temas de ciberseguridad que 
busca concientizar a la mayor cantidad posible de usuarios de Internet 
alrededor del mundo.

El objetivo de este acuerdo es intercambiar información sobre 
desarrollos presentes y futuros en cuanto a iniciativas de 
ciberseguridad entre los miembros de ambos grupos.

y concientizar sobre la importancia del uso de Internet de forma segura,

El objetivo de esta campaña es ofrecer algunos consejos y advertencias 
en materia de ciberseguridad de forma que los usuarios más vulnerables 
tengan herramientas para que, al momento de conectarse a Internet, lo 
hagan de forma segura.

En palabras de Peter Cassidy, Arquitecto Principal y cofundador de PARA. 
PIENSA. CONÉCTATE. y Secretario General de APWG, /"Tenemos muchas ganas 
de trabajar con LACNIC para ampliar la huella de la campaña a través de

presentes e futuros de iniciativas de segurança cibernética entre os 
membros dos dois grupos.

    APWG and and LACNIC Sign Agreement to Promote STOP. THINK. CONNECT.
    Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign Across the Region

*LACNIC and the APWG announced today the signing of a collaboration 
agreement aimed at raising awareness on cybersecurity and informed 
self-help among Latin American and Caribbean Internet users.*

*STOP. THINK. CONNECT.™ *(https://www.stopthinkconnect.org/) is a global 
cybersecurity awareness campaign that seeks to raise the awareness among 
the largest possible number of Internet users throughout the world.

The goal of this agreement is to share information on current and future 
cybersecurity initiatives and developments by members of both groups.

<http://warp.lacnic.net/>/) we believe it is important to help promote 
and raise awareness on the importance of using the Internet in a safe 
way, especially among users in Latin America and the Caribbean,"/ said

The goal of this campaign is to provide tips and warnings on 
cybersecurity issues so that the most vulnerable users will have tools 
to help keep them safer online.

STOP. THINK. CONNECT. principle architect / co-founder and APWG 
Secretary General Peter Cassidy said, "We look forward to working with 
LACNIC to expand the campaign's footprint across the nations of our 
Americas - and to discovering new and potent ways to upgrade the user 
worldwide."

LACNIC is joining this campaign as part of its efforts to lead the 
strengthening of _An_ Open, Stable and Secure Internet in the LAC region.
