*Proyectos para el acceso a Internet y brecha digital de género: FRIDA 
anuncia apoyos 2019*

El Fondo Regional para la Innovación Digital en América Latina y el 
Caribe (FRIDA) anuncia los tres proyectos ganadores de su convocatoria 
2019. Las iniciativas seleccionadas recibirán apoyos económicos por un 
total de US$ 30.000, entre un premio y dos subvenciones.


La convocatoria 2019 se centró en dos ejes centrales: contribuir a un 
mayor acceso a Internet en la región y al cierre de la brecha de género 
en tecnología.

NuestraRed.org (Fundación VivirEnLaFinca, Colombia) obtuvo el Premio 
Frida de US$5,000 en la categoría Redes Comunitarias, y recibirá una 
beca para participar del Foro de Gobernanza de Internet 2019 en Berlín.

Por otro parte, dos proyectos recibirán subvenciones de US$12,000 y 
US$8,000 respectivamente, para impulsar nuevas iniciativas enfocadas en 
género y tecnología: el Centro de Mujeres en Tecnología Mx (Asociación 
Nacional de Universidades e Instituciones de Educación Superior, 
México) y Plataforma virtual de Alfabetización Digital para mujeres en 
Argentina y Latinoamerica (Fundación Activismo Feminista Digital, 
Argentina).

O Fundo Regional para a Inovação Digital na América Latina e o Caribe 
(FRIDA) anuncia os três projetos vencedores de sua chamada 2019. As 
iniciativas selecionadas irão receber apoios financeiros de US$ 30.000 
no total, distribuídos entre um prêmio e dois subsídios.

A chamada de 2019 esteve focada em dois eixos centrais: contribuir para 
um maior acesso à Internet na região e fechar a brecha de gênero na 
tecnologia.

/NuestraRed.org (Fundação VivirEnLaFinca, Colômbia) /foi a vencedora do 
Prêmio FRIDA de US$ 5.000 na categoria Redes Comunitárias, e receberá 
uma bolsa para participar do Fórum de Governança da Internet 2019 em Berlim.

Do outro lado, os projetos /Centro de Mulheres em Tecnologia Mx 
(Associação Nacional de Universidades e Instituições de Educação 
Superior, México)/ e /Plataforma virtual de Alfabetização Digital para 
mulheres na Argentina e na América Latina (Fundação Ativismo Feminista 
Digital, Argentina)/ irão receber subsídios de US$ 12.000 e US$ 8000 
respectivamente, para promover novas iniciativas focadas em gênero e 
tecnologia.

*Internet Access and the Digital Gender Divide: FRIDA Announces Projects 
that will Receive Support in 2019*

The Regional Fund for Digital Innovation in Latin America and the 
Caribbean (FRIDA) has announced the three projects selected as the 
winners of its 2019 call for projects. The selected initiatives will 
receive financial support for a total of USD 30,000 distributed in the 
form of one award and two grants.

The 2019 call for proposals focused on two major topics: contributing to 
greater Internet access in the region and closing the digital gender 
divide in technology.

NuestraRed.org, a project by Fundación VivirEnLaFinca (Colombia) 
received the USD 5,000 FRIDA Award in the Community Networks category 
and will receive a fellowship to participate in the 2019 Internet 
Governance Forum to be held in Berlin.

Likewise, two projects will each receive a grant for USD 12,000 and 
USD 8,000, respectively, to promote new initiatives focusing on gender 
and technology: Mx Mexican Center for Women in Technology (National 
Association of Universities and Higher Education Institutions, Mexico) 
and Virtual Digital Literacy Platform for Women in Argentina and Latin 
America (Fundación Activismo Feminista Digital, Argentina).
