*El evento LACNIC 35 se realizará en formato on line*

LACNIC en coordinación con la entidad anfitriona del próximo evento, 
Universidad Veracruzana, ha decidido que LACNIC 35 se realice de forma 
virtual, manteniendo la fecha prevista, del 10 al 14 de mayo de 2021.

Si bien la intención era reencontrarnos presencialmente con la comunidad 
de Internet de América Latina y el Caribe en Veracruz (México), la 
persistencia de la pandemia mundial por COVID 19 obliga a seguir 
priorizando la salud y el bienestar de todos. En ese sentido, LACNIC 
entiende que la situación todavía es demasiado incierta y los riesgos 
son muy grandes para justificar un encuentro físico en esas fechas, tal 
como lo señala la Organización Mundial de la Salud.

El staff de LACNIC se encuentra diseñando mejoras para hacer de LACNIC 
35 un encuentro todavía más auspicioso, con nuevas formas de 
interacción, y una renovada agenda para agregar más valor a la reunión.

evento.

Embora a intenção fosse encontrar-nos cara a cara com a comunidade da 
Internet da América Latina e o Caribe em Veracruz (México), a 
persistência da pandemia global devido à COVID 19 nos obriga a continuar

para justificar uma reunião presencial nessas datas, como aponta a

encontro ainda mais auspicioso, com novas formas de interação e uma 
agenda renovada para agregar mais valor à reunião.

*LACNIC 35 Event to Be Held Online*

In coordination with Veracruzana University, the institution hosting our 
upcoming event, LACNIC has decided that LACNIC 35 will be held online, 
maintaining the date originally planned for the meeting, 10 to 14 May 2021.

Although we had hoped to meet with the Latin American and Caribbean 
Internet community face-to-face in Veracruz, Mexico, the ongoing 
COVID-19 pandemic forces us to continue prioritizing health and 
well-being. In this sense, LACNIC understands that the current situation 
still involves a great deal of uncertainty and that the risks are too 
high to justify a physical meeting on that date, as stressed by the 
World Health Organization.

The LACNIC staff is designing improvements to help make LACNIC 35 an 
even more successful meeting, with new forms of interaction and a 
renewed agenda that will add greater value to the event.

Further details of the meeting and how to register for the event will be 
announced shortly.
