Así es. Tras el último LACNIC allí, informé al secretariado que el centro donde se organizó el LACNIC parecía tener capacidad para alojar un IETF, para que se investigara mas a fondo y mande información relevante.

Sin embargo, la pregunta es solo, en este momento, para saber si hay algún tipo de objeción "general" de la comunidad porque sea difícil o complicado viajar allí para una gran mayoría, si hubiera problema de visados, etc.

Es decir, en este momento, "solo se pregunta", nada mas.
