[lacnog] REMINDER Fwd: Board Elections

Dear LACNOG member,

LACNOG board of directors is calling people interested in participate
in the election process for new members.

As announced in LACNOG2014 meeting, three people are going to be
elected for LACNOG board of directors. One member is going to be
elected by the community and two members by a nomination committee
(NOMCOM).

Nominations will be received until January 15th, 2015. Candidates must
send an email to nomcom en lacnog.org with a brief professional description
and reasons to be a candidate.

At the end of that period, names and descriptions are going to be
published in LACNOG mailing list for the community to vote.
The election process is going to start on January 19, 2015 and end by
January 25, 2015.

Candidates must be aware of the responsibilities of the board of
directors and accept them:

- Work as a member of the board guaranteeing its representation as a
group of network operators of the region.
- Work with other related organizations, sign agreements, organize
events and represent the organization.
- Dedicate in average 3 hours per week for the correspondent duties.
- Being able to travel and participate in two annual meetings (one
week per meeting) and other activities related to LACNOG.

It is very important to highlight that LACNOG statute does not permit
more than one member of its directory to belong to the same company or
organization.

Current members of the LACNOG board of directors are:

     - Christian O'Flaherty (ISOC)
     - Ricardo Patara (NIC.BR)

The current members of NOMCOM cannot be candidates. These members are:
