It would seem ideal to incorporate it into the existing LACNIC
infrastructure.

RPKI is an interesting idea, but I it doesn't solve the path validation
problem, but possibly there could be "new free RPKI customers" if the
RPKI certificate was a free extra thing that became part of the outcome
of using the regional IRR.

Coming from outside, it always appeared strange to me, that there was
not a regional solution for this.
