PREMIO TRAYECTORIA 2011

LACNIC anuncia que está abierto el período para la presentación de 
candidaturas  para el Premio Trayectoria 2011.

Esta distinción se otorga anualmente a personas de la comunidad de 
Internet de la región de LACNIC, que han producido contribuciones 
relevantes de manera sostenida en beneficio del desarrollo de Internet y 
la Sociedad de la Información en América Latina y el Caribe.

Las nominaciones deberán ser enviadas a: trayectoria at lacnic.net antes 
del 26 de agosto de 2011, incluyendo los datos biográficos de los 
candidatos y un resumen de los méritos por los que se le propone para el 
premio. Las nominaciones tendrán un tratamiento confidencial.

El premio consiste en la entrega de un objeto representativo y una suma 
en efectivo, los que serán entregados en Buenos Aires, Argentina durante 
la reunión LACNIC XVI / LACNOG 2011 (4-7 de octubre).

LACNIC anuncia que foi aberto o periodo para apresentação de 
candidaturas para o Prêmio Trajetória 2011

Essa distinção é outorgada anualmente às pessoas da comunidade de 
Internet da região do LACNIC que tem produzido contribuições relevantes 
de maneira contínua em prol do desenvolvimento da Internet e da 
Sociedade da Informação na América Latina e o Caribe.

As nomeações deverão ser enviadas a: trayectoria at lacnic.net antes do dia 
26 de agosto de 2011, incluindo os dados pessoais dos candidatos e um 
resumo dos méritos pertinentes para o prêmio.

O prêmio consiste em um objeto representativo e uma quantia em efetivo, 
os que serão entregues no Buenos Aires, Argentina durante a reunião 
LACNIC XVI / LACNOG 2011 (4-7 de outubro).

2011 OUSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

LACNIC announces the opening of nominations for the 2011 Outstanding 
Achievement Award.

Each year, this honor will be presented to members of the Internet 
community of the LACNIC region who have consistently produced relevant 
contributions in furtherance of the development of the Internet and the 
Information Society in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Nominations for the Outstanding Achievement Award will be evaluated by a 
panel of experts specially summoned by LACNIC. Members of this panel may 
also propose candidates. The judging panel will be made up by 
individuals having vast experience and a deep knowledge of the region, 
and each year they will independently decide who is to be the recipient 
of the award. Nominations will be treated confidentially.

Nominations must be submitted to trayectoria at lacnic.net before 26 August 
2011, enclosing the candidate's biography and a summary of the 
achievements for which the person is being nominated.

The prize for this first edition of the award will consist of a 
representative piece plus a cash award. The prize will be presented in 
the city of Buenos Aires during the LACNIC XVI / LACNOG 2011 meeting 
(4-7 October)
