  Premiadas cinco iniciativas por contribuir al desarrollo de la
  Sociedad de la Información en América Latina y el Caribe

Montevideo, 11 de junio.- Cinco proyectos que han contribuido de forma 
destacada al desarrollo de la Sociedad de la Información en América 
Latina y el Caribe han sido premiados hoy por el Fondo Regional para la 
Innovación Digital en América Latina y el Caribe (FRIDA), según se 
anunció en la Casa de Internet de Latinoamérica y el Caribe.

Los proyectos ganadores son de Brasil, Costa Rica, Uruguay y uno 
regional  que han sido distinguidos con los Premios+ FRIDA 2014 
(programafrida.net) por su aporte en áreas como:

  * Dispositivos, Infraestructura y Tecnologías. Aceleración y expansión
    del acceso.
  * Creación y desarrollo de capacidades y contenidos para el Desarrollo
    Humano Sostenible.
  * Internet Móvil para la inclusión social, el crecimiento, la
    participación política y la ciudadanía activa.
  * Internet para la promoción, garantía y ejercicio de los Derechos
    Humanos y Libertades fundamentales

El quinto Premio entregado a la propuesta más votada por el público y a 
su vez la considerada como más creativa por el jurado, fue para una 
iniciativa de Argentina.

significativa com o desenvolvimento da Sociedade da Informação na 
América Latina e o Caribe têm sido premiados hoje pelo Fundo Regional 
para a Inovação Digital na América Latina e o Caribe (FRIDA), segundo 
anunciado na Casa da Internet da América Latina e o Caribe.

Os projetos vencedores são do Brasil, Costa Rica, Uruguai e um regional 
e foram distinguidos com os Prêmios+ FRIDA 2014 (programafrida.net) por 
seu aporte nas áreas de:

  * Dispositivos, Infraestrutura e Tecnologias. Aceleração e expansão do
    acesso.
  * Criação e desenvolvimento de capacidades e conteúdos para o
    Desenvolvimento Humano Sustentável
  * Internet Móvel para a inclusão social, o crescimento, a participação
    política e a cidadania ativaesenvolvimento.
  * Internet para a promoção, garantia e exercício dos Direitos Humanos
    e Liberdades fundamentais.

O quinto Prêmio outorgado à proposta mais votada pelo público e, por sua 
vez, considerada a mais criativa pelo júri, foi para uma iniciativa da 
Argentina.

  Five initiatives receive awards for their contribution to the
  development of the Information Society in Latin America and the Caribbean

Montevideo, June 11.- /Casa de Internet de Latinoamérica y el Caribe/ 
announced that five initiatives that have made a significant 
contribution to the development of the Information Society in Latin 
America and the Caribbean have been recognized by the Regional Fund for 
Digital Innovation in Latin America and the Caribbean (FRIDA)/./

The winning initiatives are from Brazil, Costa Rica, Uruguay -- one is 
regional in scope -- and have been honored with the FRIDA 2014 Award+ 
(programafrida.net) for their contribution in the following areas:

  * Devices, Infrastructure and Technologies. Broadening and
    Accelerating ICT Adoption.
  * Creating and Developing Skills and Content for Sustainable Human
    Development.
  * Mobile Internet for Social Inclusion, Growth, Political
    Participation, and Active Citizenship.
  * Internet for Promoting, Guaranteeing and Exercising Human Rights and
    Fundamental Freedoms.

The fifth Award was presented to an Argentinian initiative that received 
the highest number of votes from the public and, in turn, was considered 
to be the most creative by the Judging Panel.
