  Acuerdo para fortalecer a Centroamérica

Con miras al fortalecimiento y apoyo a la región Centroamérica, el 
martes 28 de octubre en LACNIC22, el Registro de Direcciones de Internet 
para América Latina y Caribe (LACNIC) y la Comisión Técnica Regional de 
Telecomunicaciones de Centroamérica (COMTELCA) firmaron un acuerdo de 
cooperación para desarrollar acciones conjuntas de investigación y 
servicios.

Este acuerdo busca desarrollar capacidades en educación digital para el 
empleo tecnologías de la información, el despliegue de IPv6, la 
promoción de Puntos de Intercambio de Internet IXP y una mayor 
participación en temas de Gobernanza de Internet en la región.

Com o objetivo de reforçar e apoiar a região da América Central, na 
terça-feira 28 de outubro em LACNIC22, o Registro de Endereçamento da 
Internet para a América Latina e o Caribe (LACNIC) e a Comissão Técnica 
Regional das Telecomunicações da América Central (COMTELCA) vão assinar 
um acordo de cooperação para desenvolver ações conjuntas de pesquisa e 
serviços.

Este acordo procura desenvolver capacidades em educação digital para o 
uso de tecnologias da informação, a implementação do IPv6, a promoção de 
Pontos de Troca da Internet IXP e uma maior participação da região em 
questões de Governança da Internet.

  An agreement for strengthening Central America

Within the framework of LACNIC22, on Tuesday, 28th October, the Internet 
Address Registry for Latin America and the Caribbean (LACNIC) and the 
Regional Technical Telecommunications Commission for Central America 
(COMTELCA) signed a cooperation agreement for the joint development of 
research and services with a view to strengthening and supporting the 
Central American region.

This agreement seeks to develop digital education capabilities for the 
use of information technologies, IPv6 deployment, the promotion of 
Internet Exchange Points (IXPs), and greater regional participation in 
Internet governance issues.
