*FRIDA apoya 17 proyectos para la estabilidad, seguridad y acceso a 
Internet en la región *

El Fondo para el Fortalecimiento de Internet en América Latina y el 
Caribe (FRIDA) de LACNIC anuncia los 17 proyectos ganadores de su 
convocatoria anual de financiamiento para apoyar la consolidación de una 
Internet global, abierta, estable y segura en la región.

Los fondos para apoyar a los ganadores llegan este año a 388 mil dólares 
y se distribuyen en un premio y cuatro a cinco subvenciones en cada una 
de las tres categorías de la convocatoria: Estabilidad y Seguridad de 
Internet; Internet Abierta y Libre; y Acceso a Internet.

El llamado 2020 puso especial énfasis en el apoyo a proyectos técnicos 
vinculados a la comunidad de la región y a operadores de Internet, 
alineados con la misión de LACNIC.

Internet na região ***

O Fundo para o Fortalecimento da Internet na América Latina e o Caribe 
(FRIDA) do LACNIC anuncia os 17 projetos vencedores de sua chamada anual 
de financiamento para apoiar a consolidação de uma Internet global, 
aberta, estável e segura na região.

Os fundos para apoiar os vencedores deste ano atingem os 388 mil dólares 
e são distribuídos em um prêmio e de quatro a cinco subsídios em cada 
uma das três categorias do edital: Estabilidade e Segurança da Internet; 
Internet Aberta e Livre; e Acesso à Internet.

A chamada 2020 deu ênfase especial ao apoio a projetos técnicos 
vinculados à comunidade da região e a operadores da Internet, alinhados 
com a missão do LACNIC.

*FRIDA Supports 17 Projects for Internet Access, Stability and Security 
in the Region ***

FRIDA, LACNIC's Regional Fund for Strengthening the Internet in Latin 
America and the Caribbean, has announced the seventeen winners of its 
annual call for projects to support the consolidation of a global, open, 
stable and secure Internet in the region.

This year, the winners will receive a total of 388,000 US dollars, which 
will be distributed among one award and four grants in each of the three 
categories included in the call for proposals: Internet Stability and 
Security, Open and Free Internet, and Internet Access.

This year’s call placed special emphasis on supporting technical 
projects relating to the regional community and Internet operators and 
which were in line with the mission of LACNIC.
