Lars:

Hi!

LACNIC/LACNOG is scheduled to meet on the last week in September – the venue has not been announced yet, but this might be a good time to talk to the organizers about potential availability. If interested, I can make the introductions.

Alvaro.

not sure if this question is appropriate for this list; I'm hence setting the reply-to off list.

Mark and me chair the IETF QUIC WG, and we are heavily using physical interim meetings (3x year) to get work done. We are trying to rotate geographies, and I was wondering if there were any options for having a QUIC interim in Latin America in the late September/early October 2017 timeframe (roughly, calendar weeks 39-42). Are there any events that we could collocate with and obtain a room and connectivity from; or is someone aware of a corporate venue that would be willing to act as host?

We are usually meeting for three full days (Tue-Thu), have around 50 people present, and would require a room where we can set up desks in a concentric U-shape for all those folks, so that we can have a face-to-face discussion and it is possible to capture A/V for remote attendees. We don't require sponsored food or beverages (but won't say no if offered), but we do require pretty good connectivity. Nearby hotels and restaurants are a plus, as is a major airport with intercontinental connections.
