James,

There are other interesting IXs to consider in South America (there are
more than 30 in the region). In Argentina, the IX located in Buenos Aires
(CABASE) can also provide routes from other major cities in the country.
The IXs located in Santiago (Chile) are interconnected, so you can have a
single connection to any of them to get all the prefixes. In Colombia, Peru
and Ecuador there are IXs where you can get all the prefixes available in
the country.

It's probably a short notice, but next week (Wednesday) in Quito (Ecuador)
there's going to be a Regional Interconnection Forum as part of the Lacnic
event. All the major IXs in the region will be there.
