Solo un apunte sobre 2.2) Costes de no desplegar IPv6:

Un coste directo se asocia al actual tráfico IPv6 encapsulado con Teredo o
6to4 que por defecto se habilita en Windows Vista. Este tráfico encapsulado
(datos + señalización) saldría del ISP hacia los servidores/relays del
mecanismo en cuestión y volverían a entrar hacia el usuario.
Si los proveedores de tránsito cobran por volumen de tráfico y el número de
usuarios con windows Vista es considerable, entonces se puede empezar a
considerar el instalar servidores/relays de estos mecanismos de transición
en el propio ISP y darles conectividad IPv6 nativa a los servidores/relays.

Una aplicación que está comenzando a generar bastante tráfico IPv6 es
µTorrent, que en un principio solo usaba Teredo, pero posteriormente usa
6to4 o cualquier otra forma de IPv6. Si no estoy equivocado, µTorrent
incluso habilita IPv6 en XP SP2... es decir, más hosts con IPv6.

En resumen, existe un tráfico "subterráneo" de señalización de los
mecanismos de transición que entra y sale del ISP y que supone un coste
añadido. La forma de evitarlo es instalar servidores/relays de los
mecanismos de transición en el propio ISP. La tendencia actual es que ese
tráfico crezca. En un futuro debería disminuir.
