Como parte do período de últimos cometários estivemos analisando a
proposta LAC-2010-03 (Inclusão de ASN no WHOIS quando estiver
disponível) e surgiram algumas inquietudes que gostaríamos de consultar
com a comunidade.

No campo “Texto da Política” do formulário da proposta deveria aparecer
o texto que literalmente deva ser copiado no Manual de Políticas para
evitar interpretações por parte do staff. Nesse caso acreditamos que o
texto não se ajusta ao Manual de Políticas e sugerimos o seguinte texto,
solicitando à comunidade que comente, prévia leitura, se concorda com o
mesmo. Recomenda-se também a localização no manual (ponto 3.3 dentro do
capítulo “Alocação de Números de Sistema Autônomo”).

3.3 Inclusão de ASN de origem no WHOIS quando estiver disponível

O LACNIC deverá incluir na informação do WHOIS, o ASN de origem de todos
os prefixos que tenham sido designados diretamente por ele, sempre que
essa informação estiver disponível. Nas situações em que essa informação
não estiver especificada, a resposta do WHOIS deverá indicar esse fato.

As part of the period for last comments, we have been analyzing the
LAC-2010-03 proposal (Inclusion of ASN in the whois when available) and
several concerns have been expressed which we would like to consult with
the community.

The text contained in the "Proposal Text" field of the Policy Proposal
Form should be literally copied into the Policy Manual so as to avoid
interpretations on the part of the staff. In this case we believe that
the text is not suited to the Policy Manual and therefore suggest the
following text, which we ask the community to read and express its
agreement or lack thereof. We also recommend including it in the manual
(as item 3.3 of the chapter on Allocation of Autonomous System Numbers
(ASN)).


3.3 Inclusion of origin ASN in the WHOIS database when available

When available, LACNIC shall include in its WHOIS database the origin
ASN of all prefixes directly assigned by LACNIC. If the origin AS is not
available, the WHOIS response shall explicitly state this fact.
