  Raúl Echeberría reconocido con el Premio Trayectoria 2015

En el marco del Foro de Gobernanza de Internet Regional (LACIGF), que se 
desarrolla en México, la destacada científica Ida Holz entregó ayer el 
Premio Trayectoria 2015 de LACNIC a Raúl Echeberría por su contribución 
al desarrollo de Internet en América Latina y el Caribe.

El Premio Trayectoria ha sido instituido por el Directorio de LACNIC 
para distinguir a aquellas personas que han dedicado su esfuerzo por 
largo tiempo al desarrollo de la Sociedad de la Información en la región 
y cuyo trabajo se ha convertido en un ejemplo para el resto de la 
comunidad por sus logros relevantes. Desde su creación en el año 2009, 
15 personalidades han sido reconocidas.

El jurado del Premio Trayectoria 2015 estuvo integrado por Ben 
Petrazzini, Carolina Aguerre, Elgeline Martis, Ida Holz, Jesús Martínez, 
Rafael Ibarra, Rodrigo de la Parra y Selby Wilson. Tras un minucioso y 
extenso proceso, el jurado eligió a Raúl Echeberría como ganador de la 
edición 2015.

  Raúl Echeberría reconhecido com o Prêmio Trajetória 2015

No marco do Fórum da Governança da Internet Regional (LACIGF) que está 
acontecendo no México, a notável científica Ida Holz entregou ontem o 
Prêmio Trajetória 2015 de LACNIC para Raúl Echeberría por sua 
contribuição ao desenvolvimento da Internet na América Latina e o Caribe.

O Prêmio Trajetória foi instituído pela Diretoria de LACNIC para 
distinguir às pessoas que dedicaram seus esforços por longo tempo ao 
desenvolvimento da Sociedade da Informação na região, e cujo trabalho 
tenha-se tornado um exemplo para o resto da comunidade por seu excelente 
desempenho. Desde sua criação em 2009, foram reconhecidas quinze 
personalidades.

O júri do Prêmio Trajetória 2015 esteve integrado por Ben Petrazzini, 
Carolina Aguerre, Elgeline Martis, Ida Holz, Jesús Martínez, Rafael 
Ibarra, Rodrigo de la Parra e Selby Wilson. Após cuidadoso e extenso 
processo, o júri escolheu Raul Echeberría como vencedor da edição 2015.

  Raúl Echeberría Receives the 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award

Yesterday, as part of the activities organized within the framework of 
the Regional Internet Governance Forum (LACIGF) currently being held in 
Mexico City, noted scientist Ida Holz presented LACNIC's 2015 
Outstanding Achievement Award to Raul Echeberría, thus recognizing his 
contribution to Internet development in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The Lifetime Achievement Award was established by the LACNIC Board of 
Directors to honor those individuals who have long devoted their efforts 
to the development of the Information Society within the region and 
whose achievements have set an example for the rest of the community. 
Since its creation in 2009, fifteen of these awards have been presented.

The judging panel for the 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award was made up by 
Ben Petrazzini, Carolina Aguerre, Elgeline Martis, Ida Holz, Jesús 
Martínez, Rafael Ibarra, Rodrigo de la Parra and Selby Wilson. After a 
thorough and extensive process, the jurors decided that the winner of 
the 2015 Award would be Raul Echeberría.
